What makes this dental treatment different?
Well besides the relaxing spa like environment is the customized patient approach! Your smile has individual teeth and will all respond differently with products. So that’s how we target your whitening plan. We won’t just place one type of gel on and magically see what you lift to. We will develop a customized in office session for your goals! No messy trays. No irritation and fast results!
How long will my results last?
Results will last you 6 to 9mo, and you’re never having to work w/ where you started. Just getting brighter each time. Most clients return for maintenance 2x a year or 1x a year and many times they’re only a shade or two darker then where they left off after the treatment. Diet and habits to affect the longevity.
What teeth can be whitened?
Any smile over 14 years or older. The product is safe for all enamel, bonding, crowns, veneers and implants. It’s a very conditioning product and doesn’t harm any artificial material in the mouth. However, keep in mind composite material like veneers or bonding can only be restored to its original placed beauty. Also, we advise it’s best to whiten after all completed ortho treatment. Including Invisalign.
What if I want to get whiter?
We all have different goals. You just have to wait 2 weeks between appointments to whiten again to avoid sensitivity. Many clients have a natural stopping point, but even after that we start to change the “hue” or “tone” of your enamel. While I’m not painting your teeth white. Think of all the shades of white when painting a room. We can start to adjust your smile to a cool white that always appears brighter!
What does a treatment look like?
Each treatment starts with a detailed consultation and exam where we explain the process and go over your goals. Did you know? With your first treatment I guarantee at least a 5 shade lift and you never stain as dark as what you started with. First, you’ll recline and relax as I clean off and prep your teeth with a desensitizing mineral gel. Next, we break up your whitening treatment into three 20min sessions to give you a bathroom break, stretch or hydrate. Throughout the treatment I’m keeping a close eye on how each tooth is responding and making sure all is comfortable and you’re responding well. Lastly, we clean up your teeth, reveal the result and go over simple aftercare for the day.
Will it hurt? Will I have sensitivity?
This is the most common worry or question I get ALL the time! And no…. Honestly little to no sensitivity. Why? Because, I’m not just using “one line” depending on the tooth’s needs, I’m selecting the right type of gel. All gels are a hydrogen peroxide base. It’s the only proven safe way to whiten behind that enamel and condition it. But it’s infused w/ vit E oil and no crazy fillers that are in other competitor dental products. You're also not ingesting. Most patients say they only feel a warm wave sensation…..If that! You’ll have No zingers or sensitivity if you follow my aftercare.
How long does the treatment take?
New clients I recommend to plan on 2 hours to go over treatment and aftercare throughly. Returning patients are usually done in 1hr & 30min.
What do I need to prep or avoid for the treatment?
If it’s been years since a dental cleaning, it’s always best to make sure plaque is off the teeth. Come hydrated! The more hydrated you are the better you’ll whiten. After the appointment please avoid bright colored food and drinks. Like coffee, red wine, beets, berries and dark sauces.
Can you whiten with a guest?
Yes! I have 3 whitening stations so you’re able to whiten side by side with your guests all at the same time if you like within the 2 hour appointment time.
